How to change the world

Deladandie danced into the crowd and shouted, “I am going to change a world!”

And the thousand grey voices replied, “You can’t do that. The world is too large. You are just one person. You cannot change the world.”

Deladandie danced a merry jig and shouted back, “I will not change THE world! I will change A world!”

And the thousand grey voices replied, “That makes no sense.”

Deladandie threw streamers in the air and shouted, “Yes it does! I will create amazing work that changes one person’s life in a small but meaningful way!”

And the thousand grey voices replied, “That does not change a world.”

Deladandie twirled in colour and shouted, “It does! When one person is better, their world is better. Everyone who comes into their world notices it and feels better for it. And thus a world is changed!”

And the thousand grey voices replied, “That’s not so much. It’s only one person and their tiny world.”

Deladandie jumped up and down and shouted, “Ah, but that’s only the beginning! I’ll change another world this afternoon, and three more tomorrow, and on and on! I will create a thousand ripples in the lake of Things As They Are, until everything is different!”

And the thousand grey voices said… nothing.

The moral of the story

In my sessions, I hear a constant refrain of tiny embarrassed voices saying, “I know it sounds dumb, but I want to change the world.”

It’s not stupid to want to change the world, and it’s always in your grasp.

When I say that I am in the business of changing the world, I mean it. The world is a better place whenever I work with someone to make their magnificence shine more brightly. There’s three layers to it:

1. I change myself. The more time I spend doing my best work, the better a person I become. More compassionate, more creative, more confident, more lots-of-other-things-that-start-with-c… so my world changes.

2. I change the person I’m working with. They see their work with new energy and a fresh surge of power and possibility. They dig into it with both hands and lick the juice from their fingers, pushing the limits to produce their absolute best work… so their world changes.

3. I change the people touched by the work of my clients. The refreshed and focused work being produced by my clients is so damn amazing and so clearly communicated that they interact with it more deeply. They drink in the wisdom of the work and use it to make profound changes in themselves… and their world changes.

In an average week I will work one-on-one with up to twenty people, and have many more people read articles like this one. That’s possibly hundreds of world being changed directly every week by my work, and when you include the rippling outward from those people to their families and friends and clients…

… how could I not say that I change the world?

How could you not say the same?

There’s only a few days left until my next unashamedly world-changing resource becomes available. If you want to know more, sign up to Mo’Cash, Mo’Joy today and be the first to find out. It’s going to be amaaaazing.

One day you begin a conversation about a thing. You keep talking. No one answers. Sometimes there’s so much silence it seems your words are going into a void. Then someone comes out of nowhere to tell you “Thank You. What you said/did/are being – it helped me.” That is the best feeling ever.

I think “change the world” really depends on how you look at it, doesn’t it? If you change the life of one person, you are leaving the world different than when you came into it.

It can be negative or positive change. So if you lead your life in a positive way, and try to influence others to succeed and do the same, you can cause a ripple effect that can change the lives of a lot of people.

Exactly, Eugene. How do YOU do it?

    Exactly!

You never know just how far the ripples will extend – and that’s the joy of it! :>

I really believe all of us (people, animals, earth, beyond) are part of one living, breathing entity.  So to alter any part of it most definitely effects the whole.
